I Need a New Phone

Nothing is actually wrong with my current phone, but it IS 4 years old now, time for a new one.

It can’t download Zelle.

My bank has updated their app and it is not compatible with my phone.

I can’t download the WordPress app, which I think would be really cool for adding photos to my feed.

I’m mostly happy with T-Mobile, I just need another phone.

Now, the part I’m not happy about, is price. Yeah, yeah, shop around, but here’s the thing. I can get 5 lines for $100 dollars, but I only need one line. One line still costs $50, not $20 or $25. Twice as expensive and I use less data. It’s unfair for us single people. Family plan means not good for singles.

At least if I buy a family pack of pork chops, I can break it down and freeze it. I can’t use a family plan for phone. It would just be silly. So why can’t I get one line at the discounted rate?

But all that aside, I still need a new phone. A smarter smart phone. Current one is a Samsung. I’m an android girl, so that’s about my only preference. Now I shall turn to the hive mind, and ask my online friends what phone they suggest.

I like sci-fi movies, and I noticed that I like the noir ones best. They are almost universally set in a sort of post-apocalyptic dystopia. I later realized, I find them comforting and familiar, probably because I live there, at least in my inner life. Perhaps things are not as bleak as they seem, or perhaps I am simply learning to keep a better attitude. This is the chronicle of my adventures. May you find something valuable here.
