You may be familiar with NaNoWriMo, ie. National Novel Writers’ Month. It falls in November. The idea is that if you write something in the neighborhood of 1100 words a day for a month, no self censoring, no rewriting, then at the end of the month you have something close to a novel that you can spend the rest of the year perfecting.
InCoWriMo is International Correspondence Writers’ Month. It’s the month of February. The idea is to write 28 letters in 28 days. They do provide addresses, in case you don’t have 28 friends and family members. (Hey, I have more than that, but I don’t have addresses for them all. We text or facebook.) Or you feel like making new friends.
I signed up for InCoWriMo this year. I heard about it from one of several Lisa’s I count among my friends. I have almost made my quota — can you say manic much? Okay, not as manic as other times, but still . . . And as soon as I find my regular mailing list, more will go out. I’ll beat the 28 limit this year.
Anyway, if you’re into writing or if you want to trade letters with someone, here’s the website: https://incowrimo.org/2018/
