I just figured out that I don’t own my domain name.  So I have had to spend money this morning that i didn’t plan to spend.  Still, it’s good to know i own Kiss5Tigers.com again.  I like having my own domain.

I have ordered some postcards from VistaPrint.  I couldn’t decide what image I wanted so I chose a set of three images from the red leaf photo shoot.  I can’t wait to share them with people.  I’m pretty pleased with these photos.  I also ordered more business cards and some return address labels.  I can’t print my return address small enough.

I am going to try to get my art out in public more.  I think the 6x6NW show is part of that.  My pieces are done so all I have to do is fill out the form and mail them.  I think I’ll go to the post office tomorrow after PHP.  It’s near the Richardson post office and I should have 2 hours to get it done.  My next move will be Cafe Brazil.  Even if they only take one or two pieces, it’s more public.

I have sent off the first round of my zines.  I’m pretty excited about that.  I suppose that’s more getting my stuff out there.  Lisa and Fred, my roommates, read them and said they were good so they must be pretty okay.  They seem average to me but then I read a bunch of zines so I have something to compare.  Average seems like an acceptable assessment of a first effort.  I mean, it could be crap but I think it’s not.

I feel like I have a bit more energy on the new meds.  I am doing more and I feel more awake.  I woke up at 9:30 this morning and I have mostly been up since then.  I did doze off a few times but not like before where I would wake up and then go back to sleep for a couple of hours. Tomorrow I am up early again for PHP.  We’ll see what the rest of the day brings.

I like sci-fi movies, and I noticed that I like the noir ones best. They are almost universally set in a sort of post-apocalyptic dystopia. I later realized, I find them comforting and familiar, probably because I live there, at least in my inner life. Perhaps things are not as bleak as they seem, or perhaps I am simply learning to keep a better attitude. This is the chronicle of my adventures. May you find something valuable here.
